Longhorns Basektball

Sunday was the Longhorns last homegame. Thus, Florian and I went to see the game in the almost sold out Frank Erwin Center. Just to give you an idea, this still means over 15000 spectators. The game itself was never close and thus leaked some excitement. At the end UT won by over 20.
Back at home we had a BBQ as temparatures are back to summerlike upper 70ies. Lateron we watched the Academy Arwards.

Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesday, 6th street got as packed as never before. It hasnt been like this on Holloween, nor on New Years Eve. We started the night getting stuffed at the all you can eat pizza buffet at Cici´s. Next stop Cain & Abels, after a few beers here we finally arrived downtown around 11pm where 6th street was already filled with people. By midnight it was almost impossible to get through. A normal 5 min walk over 6th street, now took about 30 minutes. So we went into Maggae Maes where it was just fun watching the street from the top. Unbelievable.
At home it was then time to say bye bye. So we concluded Smeguls ;-) stay with a good beer before passing out around 4.30.
